Chelsea Surplus Underwriters, Inc. was brought about by Russell Shepherd and two other individuals. The business description is: A wholesale, broker/surplus lines insurance firm. It was incorporated in October of 1988.

Russell Shepherd acts as president, and Chelsea has a staff of 24, 8 of which are full time underwriters.

Chelsea Surplus Underwriters, Inc. continues to grow at a very healthy rate, improving it's profit position and performing as a solid player in a very erratic market place. We are a service oriented business committed to excellent service to it's agents and companies. We don't want to write every piece of business, but every GOOD piece of business!
